These Terms & Conditions are designed to be clear and easy to understand. They outline the responsibilities of both Guys with Truck (ABN ) (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the customer (“you”, “your”) when using our services.
By booking or using our services, you agree to the following terms.
1. General Information
We are not a common carrier and do not accept liability as such.
Our services are provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded. Where permitted by law, our liability is limited as set out in these Terms.
2. Booking Details
When booking, you must provide accurate information including:

A list of items to be moved

Pickup and delivery addresses

Date and preferred time
-
Access details (stairs, lifts, parking restrictions, etc.)
All quotes and time estimates are based on the information provided and may change if details are incorrect or incomplete.
3. Changes & Cancellations

Cancellations or changes must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee equal to 1 hour of the booked rate.
4. Parking
You are responsible for ensuring legal and suitable parking access for our vehicle.
Any parking fees, fines, or infringements incurred during the job will be added to the final invoice.
5. During the Move

You must inform us of any fragile, valuable, or special-care items.

We may refuse to move items deemed unsafe, unsuitable, or not disclosed at booking.

Items not listed or discussed may not be moved if time or space does not allow.

If delivery cannot be completed due to circumstances outside our control, items may be returned to our depot and additional charges may apply.
6. Time & Charges

Working time starts upon arrival at the first address and ends once payment is completed.

Minimum charge applies (3 hours).

Time is rounded up to the nearest 30 minutes.

Travel time is fixed based on job location and confirmed at booking.

Overtime rates may apply for jobs exceeding standard hours or outside normal operating times.
7. Payment

Full payment is required upon completion of the job.

A deposit equivalent to 2 hours of work is required to confirm and secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled start time.

Accepted payment methods: cash, bank transfer

We do not offer credit terms unless previously agreed.

Goods may be retained as security if payment is not completed.
8. Damage & Liability
We take care to handle all items safely and offer repair, replacement, or compensation where appropriate.
Claims must be reported:

At the end of the move (visible damage), or
-
Within 24 hours of delivery (for other issues)
Exclusions may include:

Improperly packed fragile items
-
Items not in suitable protective packaging
-
Flat-pack or particle board furniture (e.g. IKEA-style furniture)

Glass not properly wrapped
-
Stone items (marble, granite, etc.)
-
Electronics or equipment not in original packaging
-
Items stored in third-party containers
We are not responsible for internal faults or pre-existing damage.
Compensation is based on fair market value, taking age and condition into account. We do not provide “new for old” replacements.
9. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:

Provide accurate booking information

Be present or represented during the move

Ensure all items are properly packed and prepared

Take reasonable steps to avoid items being left behind

Secure fragile or valuable goods appropriately

Disconnect and prepare appliances before transport

Ensure parking access is available
-
Provide correct contact details at all times
-
Inspect property before and after the move
We are not liable for issues arising from failure to meet these responsibilities.

By booking our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
